Full Description
Nestled within a sweeping C-shaped curve along the Tiber River’s east bank, Trevi is one of Rome’s oldest and most enchanting neighborhoods. In Italian, "rione" refers to a district, and this particular one is rich in history and charm. Famous attractions like the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the iconic Trevi Fountain make it a must-visit area.
Despite the recent rise of quick-service supermarkets and eateries, Trevi has preserved its authentic atmosphere, boasting traditional deli shops and trattorias that have withstood the test of time. The district is home to three world-class coffee roasters, a handful of artisan gelaterias serving handcrafted ice cream, and two of Rome’s most skilled salami makers. In addition to housing the Italian Parliament, the area also contains various governmental offices, leading to a concentration of upscale restaurants, fine wine shops, wine bars, delicatessens, and patisseries.
Our Trevi Food Tour invites you to slow down and savor the delights of this picturesque district, blending cultural exploration with a culinary journey. This tour offers the perfect balance of guided sightseeing and food tasting, with stops at an authentic local market and more than seven distinct eateries where you’ll enjoy the best dishes Rome has to offer.
By the end of the tour, you’ll not only have discovered Trevi’s hidden gems but also gained insider tips from your local guide, empowering you to explore Rome’s rich cultural scene and culinary treasures with confidence!
