Trastevere is one of Rome’s most charming and vibrant neighborhoods, known for its narrow cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and lively atmosphere. Located on the west bank of the Tiber River, this historic district has maintained much of its medieval character, with ivy-covered facades, hidden courtyards, and bustling piazzas. You tour will start from San Benedetto Church, in the heart of the Rione Trastevere , a short distance from Ponte Sisto and Tiber Island, this tiny church overlooks a small square that preserves suggestions and memories of medieval Rome. The first stop of this tour will be one of the most traditional bakeries in Rome, third-generation woman baker run this family shop. It was founded by her grandfather, inherited by her parents and now her own to manage and carry on the tradition. Be overwhelmed by the massive vintage oven from the 1950s that dominates the bakery. It is a beautiful machine, and you can’t help but admire it in the center of the shop.
