Meet the Family Behind Rome's Finest Food Tours
Serving the Eternal City since 2008. Discover the local experts and food-obsessed Romans who make every tour an unforgettable journey.
Providing the Best Food Tours in Rome since 2008
Since 2008, we’ve had one simple mission: to show you the Rome that tourists usually miss. We aren't a global travel corporation; we are a collective of Romans who live for a perfectly aged Pecorino, a crisp glass of Frascati, and the stories told over a shared table.
For nearly two decades, we’ve been weaving through the backstreets of the Eternal City, building relationships with the artisan bakers, the third-generation butchers, and the market stall owners who are the true heartbeat of our city. When you walk with us, you’re not just a tourist—you’re our guest.
Why Walk With Us?
"We don't do 'tourist menus.' We do the real Rome."

Frequently Asked Questions
Since 2008, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests to our table. Here are the answers to the most common questions about our team of culinary experts and our local philosophy.
-
Are you a local company or a global agency?
Born and Bred in Rome: We are 100% locally owned and operated. Unlike large international booking platforms, we live here, eat here, and have been part of the Roman community since 2008. When you book with us, your money stays in the local economy and supports the neighborhood artisans we visit.
-
Why have you been operating since 2008?
A Legacy of Trust: We were one of the first dedicated food tour companies in the Eternal City. Our longevity is built on consistency and relationships. Because we’ve been around for nearly two decades, we have access to "hidden" family kitchens and market stalls that don't open their doors to just any tour group.
-
Who are the guides?
The Roman Collective: Our guides aren't just seasonal workers; they are historians (like Bruno), sommeliers, and lifelong foodies. Every member of our team is hand-picked for their deep knowledge of Roman culture and their ability to make you feel like a friend, not just a customer.
-
What is your "Food Philosophy"?
Authenticity Above All: We have a strict "No Tourist Menu" policy. We only take you to places where we would take our own families. We prioritize seasonal ingredients, traditional Roman recipes, and small-scale producers who honor the "slow food" movement.
-
Do you offer tours outside of Rome?
Rome and Beyond: While our heart is in the Eternal City, our passion for Italian cuisine has led us to curate a Selected Collection of experiences in Florence, Venice, Naples, and Milan. Every "Beyond" destination follows the same rigorous local standards as our original Rome walks.

See on Google →We loved the food tour! Fab was fabulous! We started in a market tasting crackers with toppings, balsamic vinegar, limoncello and more. We then had charcuterie and wine. From there, great pizza and then pasta. The gelato place she took us to was real Italian gelato. Yum! Fab was able to share interesting details of Rome’s history along the way. She was very funny and is smart. She was our favorite tour guide in Italy!

See on Google →We went to London, Paris, Florence and Rome during our trip, and this was my favorite experience of the trip. Fabrizia was amazing and gave such great history with amazing food. Especially appreciated the history in the Jewish Ghetto, how the Jewish families were targeted during the Nazi regime and how they are memorialized throughout the neighborhood.

See on Google →First time in Rome for me & second for my husband. My husband & I are both gluten intolerant. We booked a private, gluten-free food tour. Our guide, Fabritzia, showed us highlights of Rome along with stops for Jewish artichoke, pizza, pasta, coffee, and gelato. The food was amazing. Fabritzia was easy to understand, taught us some Italian words, and provided an entertaining and interesting tour. We would highly recommend the tour & her as a guide.

See on Google →Had the best experience with Food Tours of Rome tonight! Jewish Ghetto & Campo de Fiori By Night Food & Wine Tour was incredible. We do food tours in every city we visit and this one was, by far, the best. So much food and wine, plus the history of the Jewish Ghetto, made this tour my favorite. Our guide, Fabrizia, was amazing. We will definitely do this exact tour again next year when we return!

See on Google →We had an amazing experience on this tour! Not only was the food delicious with different stops (appetizer, cannoli/baked good, pizza, pasta, coffee, gelato), but the historical information on the tour was very interesting. Our tour guide, Fabrizia, was amazing!!! We did the gluten free version of this tour, which was a private tour, and she made me and my husband feel so comfortable knowing our food was safe to eat! I am a celiac and was able to enjoy everything!! She also went above and beyond, showing us everything there was to see around our tour area. Cannot recommend this tour more, especially with Fabrizia!
